Clarification of Rural Carrier Contractual Retroactive Payments

REGULAR CARRIERS

Salaries were brought current after signing of 2018-21 contract as of PP18-2019. This increase included the July 2018 COLA of $229 annually and the November 24, 2018 General Wage Increase (GWI) of 1.3%. The January 2019 COLA was zero and the July 2019 COLA of $624 annually went into effect PP19-2019 (August 31, 2019).

Retroactive payment covers the period of PP19-2018 (September 1, 2018) through PP17-2019.

The retroactive payment for regular carriers includes:

  1. July 2018 COLA of $229 annually for PP19-2018 through PP17-2019
  2. GWI of 1.3% for PP25-2018 through PP17-2019
  3. January 2019 COLA was zero

 

RCAs and ARCs

Salaries were brought current after signing of 2018-21 contract as of PP18-2019. This increase included the November 24, 2018 General Wage Increase (GWI) of 2.3%, bringing those on Table 3, Schedule 1 to $22.87 per hour, Table 3, Schedule 2 to $26.74 per hour, and Table 4 to $18.19 per hour.

Retroactive payment covers the period of PP25-2018 (November 24, 2018) through pp17-2019.

The retro-active payment for RCAs includes:

The GWI of 2.3% effective November 24, 2018 bringing those on Table 3, Schedule 1 to $22.87 per hour, Table 3, Schedule 2 to $26.74 per hour, and Table 4 to $18.19 per hour.
