Clarification on UPS Parcel Return Service (PRS) Mail Count Credit

THE TIMES THEY ARE A-CHANGIN’
This post seems to be older than 1 year— so keep that in mind while reading. It might be outdated.

The mail count guide on the NRLCA Website has been corrected with regard to the proper mail count credit for UPS Parcel Return Service (PRS).

After further discussions with the Postal Service, it is agreed that when a carrier collects UPS Parcel Return Service (PRS) whether or not in conjunction with a carrier pickup request, credit will no longer be provided in Column 23 (Ordinary and Insured Parcels Accepted).

The proper credit will be provided in Column 20 or Column 21 and Column 22 as appropriate.  The previous language on page 35 and page 36 of the NRLCA Mail Count Guide has been redacted.
