Fundraising event planned for USPS rural carrier injured in carjacking

Authorities said Ramsay was carjacked and shot on Sept. 5 during her mail route in a neighborhood. Jaden Isaiah Garay, 23, was arrested in Burke County Tuesday in the stolen postal vehicle following a high-speed chase and a search. Madison County officials say Garay has been charged with attempted first-degree murder and given a $2 million bond. His next court date is Oct. 9.
