Step 4 Settlement on Mail Count and In-Home Dated Mailings

This case involved management not honoring delivery of an in-home dated mailing during the 2015 national mail count. The parties agree the POM Section 458.2 states in part, “Offices should make every effort to adhere to mailer-requested in-home delivery dates. Do not deliver such mail earlier than the date the mailer has requested.” This relates to mailings that are received directly at the office. Carriers that have disputes over dated mailings received directly at the office during a mail count, need to track the number of pieces in dispute.
