USPS releases EMA schedules effective July 2, 2022

In accordance with the provisions of Article 9, Section 2.J.3 of the USPS/NRLCA National Agreement, effective July 2, 2022 (Pay Period 15-2022), the Equipment Maintenance Allowance (EMA) will increase to 97.0¢ per mile, or a minimum of $38.80 per day, whichever is greater.

The post office is not paying enough EMA to cover the expense of doing business with our vehicles. And never has. If you cannot purchase a new vehicle every year, and cover your fuel and repairs. You are not getting paid enough for EMA. And since that is not happening, we are forced to take it out of our lower salaries. I will go head to head with anybody who says otherwise. What I meant to say, is that if I cannot purchase a new vehicle with trade-in every year then we are losing money
