Donahoe was not met with such a warm reception while speaking to thousands of letter carriers in downtown Buffalo, who booed the Postmaster General. He stood by his five-day mail delivery plan for some locations.
“What comes in the mailbox today is just not enough revenue for six-day delivery,” Donahue said. “We think it’s a smart idea to move to five-day delivery and that saves us almost $3 billion.”
