HOUSTON — A postal worker was killed Saturday in a crash in northwest Harris County.

It happened along Antoine Drive, north of West Green Road in the Northcliffe Manor neighborhood.

According to Sgt. Villacorta with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the wreck involved a postal truck and a Dodge pickup.

“The Dodge pickup truck was traveling southbound on Antoine Drive,” he said. “The male had just fled from a minor accident up the road at Veterans Memorial and Antoine Drive. As he was fleeing, he was going at a high rate of speed. He lost control and he struck the rear of the postal truck, who was delivering mail in the residences here on the southbound side of Antoine Drive.”
