REMINDER: When a regular carrier volunteers to give assistance on a route other than their regularly assigned route in accordance with the current MOU, the regular carrier is paid time and a half for every minute worked on the other route. The time goes straight to the OT block on the PS Form 1314. A regular carrier cannot be required to work another route or to work on Sunday.

A relief carrier is paid time and a half for every minute actually worked over 40 hours in a week. There are no exceptions.

In accordance with the ELM 432.32: Maximum Hours Allowed, a leave replacement (RCA, PTF, ARC or RCR) may not be required to work more than 12 hours in 1 service day. (This language does not apply to regular rural carriers. A regular carrier is paid overtime in accordance with the National Agreement.)
