A 54-year-old employee of the U.S. Postal Service died Sunday following a crash Friday night involving her mail truck on Salisbury Road in Midlothian.
Chesterfield County police said
Beverly L. Sublett, of the 19000 block of Poachers Run, was transported to a local hospital after a crash at 5:40 p.m. Friday near the intersection of Salisbury and Olde Stonegate roads, which is near the Robious Road entrance to the Salisbury neighborhood.
Police said their investigation indicates Sublett experienced a medical emergency at the time of the crash. The 1994 U.S. Postal Service mail truck she was driving rolled backwards off the shoulder, hit a mailbox and came to rest in a landscape bed.
