Early morning accident claims life of Dublin, TX postal worker, Mindi House

A two-vehicle accident shortly before 7 a.m. Tuesday has claimed the life of 39-year-old Mindi House.

Captain James Gresham with the Stephenville Police Department told Beneath the Surface News that House was traveling east on Washington Street and attempting to make a left-hand turn onto Wolfe Nursery Road when her vehicle was struck by a Dodge Ram 2500 pickup headed westbound.

The man driving the pickup was not injured.

“He has been cooperative and is distraught,” Gresham said. “The accident wasn’t his fault.”

House worked as a mail carrier for the Dublin Post Office and was driving her delivery jeep when the accident occurred, meaning that she was seated on what is normally the passenger side of a vehicle.

House died at the scene.
