MOU Allowing Regular Rural Carriers to Volunteer to Work on Sundays or Provide Assistance on other Rural Routes to Expire March 25, 2022

The NRLCA has been notified that the U.S. Postal Service was not willing to extend the below MOU, which allows regular rural carriers to volunteer to work on Sunday and also volunteer to provide assistance on other regular routes in the office. This MOU therefore will expire on Friday, March 25th, 2022. The NRLCA was willing to extend this MOU, based on the shortage of leave replacements and the need to get carriers off the street at a reasonable time to assist in getting the mail delivered.
