A Sunday head-on collision near the intersection of Texas 174 and Highland Road near Rio Vista resulted in the death of one driver.
Texas Department of Public Safety troopers and Rio Vista firefighters responded to the scene at about 8:06 a.m.
The driver of a Dodge pickup, traveling north on Texas 174, crossed into the northbound lane while passing another vehicle, according to preliminary DPS findings.
The driver of a U.S. Postal Service truck in the northbound lane attempted to take evasive action but was unable to avoid a collision. The USPS truck driver died at the scene.
The Dodge driver was transported to “an area trauma center” for serious injuries, DPS officials said. The names of the drivers has not been released and the accident remains under investigation.

I convinced my daughter to apply for an RCA job. At the time, Amazon was not in the picture. Now she is forced to work many Sundays, not to mention every holiday also. No day of the year is off limits to Amazon. The schedual is made up weekly leaving them no hope of planing a vacation or even a long weekend. @Margaret, I’m sorry your daughter is dealing with the Sunday Amazon. Its not worth it. Sunday Amazon is not a good deal for anyone.
