Regular Carriers Working Sunday, November 1, 2020

From NRLCA

We have had several inquiries about compensation for regular carriers who volunteer to work this Sunday and are asked to carry the full or partial route delivering mail and parcels. The NRLCA and USPS are in agreement that proper compensation is actual hours worked at the OT rate as per this MOU.

We understand that the MOU only mentions delivering parcels on Sunday. However, the benefits to the regular carrier of delivering some of the Monday mail volume on Sunday and receiving overtime compensation, while assisting the employer in this unprecedented election season are more than compelling.

This additional work is VOLUNTARY only.

If you have any questions, please contact your district representative.
