The following is a statement of NRLCA’s position on three very important issues:
- The safety of rural carriers and the public.
- Requiring or allowing regular carriers to work on other routes and/or on Sundays.
- Requiring Leave Replacements to work more than 12 hours in one day.
If a post master told me I had to go help out on another route as a regular I would just laugh and head home. That’s ridiculous.
What happens if you get in an accident on someone else’s route??🤷🏼♂️
Just open the OT back up! My station has 2-5 open routes a day and RCAs just keep quitting because they are over worked and underpaid
