LeClaire, IA, Rural Carrier Associate Aimee Schultz recently helped a customer out of an unusual bind: The woman had locked herself out of her house while she was outside on a rear balcony. The woman’s dogs were inside the house, so Schultz and the customer devised a plan to distract the dogs while Schultz opened the front door and retreated to her vehicle. The customer then called the dogs to the backyard so Schultz could safely enter the house and unlock the rear door. “Because of Aimee’s quick thinking, a tense situation was under control,” said Postmaster Sandra Fraise.
