Schererville, IN, Rural Carrier Michael Biedakiewicz was delivering mail recently when he noticed a home’s garage had caught fire. Biedakiewicz called 911 and alerted the residents, who escaped safely. Firefighters arrived and got the blaze under control before it seriously damaged the house.
Employees featured in “Heroes’ corner ” also receive letters of commendation through the Postmaster General Heroes’ Program. The nomination form is available on Blue.
