Rural Carrier Hero: Napoleon Bautista, Carmel, CA

Carmel, CA, Rural Carrier Napoleon Bautista was delivering mail at a home when he heard someone calling for help. He soon found an 80-year-old woman lying on the ground. She said she fell 20 minutes earlier and couldn’t move. Bautista called 911 and stayed with the woman until emergency responders arrived and took her to a hospital, where she was treated for a broken hip. The woman’s daughter later thanked Bautista.
