Naples, FL, Rural Carrier Toni Staples was leaving work on a recent day when she heard screaming coming from a nearby parking lot.
Staples found a woman sitting in the passenger seat of a car that was slowly rolling backward toward six lanes of traffic.
Staples jumped into the driver’s seat and stopped the car.
“[She] surely prevented a collision … and almost certain injuries,” said Customer Services Supervisor Michael Felix.
