Rural Carrier Jacenda “JC” Dohme was recently making deliveries at a senior apartment complex in Greenville, OH, when she grew concerned about a woman who had not picked up her mail in several days or placed her trash can at the curb as she normally would.
After knocking on the customer’s door and getting no answer, Dohme urged staff members at the complex to check on the woman.
The customer was found unconscious on the floor inside her apartment and was rushed to a hospital.
“Had it not been for JC’s actions, this lady may not have made it,” said Courtney Maloney, the local acting customer services supervisor. “This is not the first time JC has gone above and beyond in care for one of her customers.”
