A rural mail carrier making deliveries on her route was fortunate to escape injury after her vehicle was slammed from behind by another driver in Polk County on Sunday afternoon. Polk County Today is reporting that it happened on Farm to Market Road 350, between Livingston and the eastern shore of Lake Livingston.
According to the report, Ester Marie McDonald, 47, of Livingston, was driving a 2018 Ford Explorer SUV. When she slowed to make a left turn, she was rear-ended by a 2012 Kia Sportage, driven by 25-year-old Falon Shea Adamek, of Conroe.
Adamek was transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital for treatment. There’s no word on the severity of her injuries.
Hope she’s okay because the post office will make her wait years before they approve any needed surgery.
BTW – Didn’t RRECS just slam us all from behind?
I was rear ended a couple years ago, by someone doing 55 in a 35, while I was at a dead stop putting mail in a box. Work comp and the way the post office handled it was a complete f-ing joke! I could write a 50 page rant but I’ll just wish them better luck than what I had
