NORFOLK, Neb. (KCAU) – Three people were sent to the hospital after an afternoon crash on Highway 275, about three miles east of Norfolk.

The Stanton County Sheriff’s Office said the collision happened Friday around 2:10 p.m. They aid that Toni Prince, 46, of Osmond, is a rural mail carrier and was on her route as she pulled from a private drive onto Highway 275. As she pulled onto the highway, she reportedly drove into the path of an eastbound car driven by Eva Thelen, 16, of Pilger. A 21-year-old passenger in the car had to be extricated.

All three were taken to Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk. The sheriff’s office said that none of the injuries appeared to be serious. They credit airbags and seatbelt use with the lessening of injuries.

Both vehicles are considered total losses.
