The problem with consolidation is that rural carriers who have already been subject to a pay cut are not going to drive more miles for even less money. Kiss your mail delivery goodbye.
If the postal service declined to comment, you can bet your biscuits that they are planning to close offices. They pulled this a few years ago on my office. They shut it down and moved us without giving the public any notice. It wasn’t even in the paper until two months after they moved us.
