DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Friends of a man who was shot in DeKalb County on Thursday said he worked for the U.S. Postal Service and was killed on the job.
The DeKalb County Medical Examiner’s Office said 31-year-old Dequavious Graves died from his injuries.

According to his friends, Graves loved working for USPS as a postal worker. They said he also worked as a music producer. They described him as a model citizen, an artistic genius, and a great friend.
Friends said people who knew him affectionately called him “Big Quay.”
“The world was robbed of a great human,” the friend said.
A United States Postal Service spokesperson added “The Postal Service is deeply saddened by the tragic loss of a Postal family member with three years of service in a fatal incident on February 12. Our thoughts are with their family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time. We will be providing counseling services to our employees at the Wesley Chapel Post Office as the investigation into the incident continues.
DeKalb County Police said it’s investigating what happened, but said that additional information would need to come from the United States Postal Inspection Service, because they are also investigating.
