KOUNTZE, Texas — The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a fatal crash involving a U.S. Postal Service truck that happened Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of U.S. Highway 69 and State Highway 327 in Hardin County.

On Wednesday morning, DPS identified the driver of the postal service truck as Chace Soignet, 26, of Warren.

According to DPS, the crash occurred around 4:30 p.m. when a U.S. Postal Service mail truck was traveling west on Highway 327 and reportedly disregarded a stop sign at the Highway 69 intersection.
