A day in the life: USPS in Riddle, OR

RIDDLE — On Thursday, Don Thornhill pushed a cart of approximately 500 various parcels and packages out the back door of the United States Postal Service office in Riddle. It would take him about four hours to deliver everything he had.

For Thornhill, who turns 62 in two weeks, his job is perfect for this time in his life. It is not too difficult but keeps him engaged.

“It is not a bad gig. It is not what I envisioned as my dream job but it could potentially be a nice retirement job,” Thornhill said.
