Help rural carriers dealing with the aftermath of recent tornadoes

Our hearts go out to the communities of London and Somerset, Kentucky, who are facing the devastating aftermath of recent tornadoes. The destruction has been widespread, with many families—including several postal employees—suffering unimaginable losses.
Among those impacted are KYRLCA Member Robert Frost and his wife, Shonda Frost, a retired rural carrier, who lost their home and belongings. In response, NRLCA Executive Committeeman Kirby Ricketts, KY-WV District Representative Sandra Holt, and Assistant District Representatives Julia Brown and Jonathan King have visited the affected areas. They met with local first responders and surveyed the damage firsthand to better understand the needs of our fellow carriers and neighbors.
NRO Ricketts and DR Holt have also been working alongside volunteers at Faith Assembly Church in London, helping distribute emergency supplies to more than 1,500 displaced families.
