Open season, the annual opportunity for Postal Service employees to make changes to their health coverage or choose a new plan for the year ahead, begins Monday, Nov. 10, and concludes Monday, Dec. 8.

Here’s what employees should know:

• If you currently have a Postal Service Health Benefits (PSHB) Program plan, you should review it to ensure it meets your needs. If you are satisfied with the plan, you don’t need to take any action.

• If you aren’t satisfied with your plan, you can make changes during open season.

• You can compare multiple plans side by side through Checkbook’s Guide to PSHB Plans, an online tool available on the MyHR website’s open season page.

A variety of health, vision and dental coverage options are available through the PSHB Program, the USPS Health Benefits Plan for eligible precareer and casual employees, the Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program, and flexible spending accounts.

Employees should log in to MyHR’s open season page to explore their options, find out what’s available and learn how to participate in a virtual benefits fair.

The Postal Service will provide additional information and reminders throughout open season.
