Mail carrier (RCA) killed in single-vehicle accident

 

Hopkinsville, KY – A U.S. Postal Service mail carrier was killed in a single-vehicle accident Saturday afternoon on Herndon-Oak Grove Road.

Christian County Coroner Scott Daniel identified the victim as 48-year old Robin Jean Kennedy of Clarksville, who was employed as a carrier for the Oak Grove post office.

She had been headed east toward Oak Grove in the 14000 block of Herndon-Oak Grove Road a few minutes before 2:30 when her vehicle went off the right side of the road, according to Christian County Sheriff’s Major Jason Newby, who says Kennedy was ejected when her automobile overturned.

Kennedy was pronounced dead at the scene.
