NRLCA and USPS Sign MOU Allowing Regular Carriers to Work Their Designated Holiday on Monday, May 25, 2020

The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) linked below was just signed agreeing to allow regular carriers to work on their designated holiday on Monday, May 25, 2020. Compensation will be at the overtime rate and recorded in the same manner as the MOU on regulars performing auxiliary assistance on other routes.

Regulars with Monday relief days are excluded because May 25th is technically still their relief day and not their designated holiday. Regular carriers who work their designated holiday on May 25th will receive the normal holiday pay in addition to the overtime for any hours actually worked.

As always, regular carriers who work the route on their designated holiday on Saturday May 23rd will receive a day of holiday pay plus the regular evaluated pay of the route.
