Oshkosh Corporation has recalled 5,242 model year 2025–2026 NGDV mail delivery trucks after finding that a missing brake pedal mounting pin and retaining clip could cause service brake failure.
Oshkosh received its first field report on Dec. 10, 2025, identifying a vehicle missing the brake pedal mounting pin and retaining clip. In that instance, no reduction in brake performance was observed, and the customer was instructed to install the missing parts.
A second report on Jan. 26, 2026, alleged that a vehicle experienced a complete loss of service brake function. Oshkosh’s investigation confirmed the mounting pin and retaining clip were absent from the brake pedal assembly.
The company quarantined all in-process builds at its manufacturing facility on Jan. 27, 2026. Two days later, Oshkosh issued an inspection and repair procedure to the fleet customer. A formal safety recall decision was made on Feb. 2, 2026.
