Step 4: Mileage Reimbursement When Limited Duty Employees Assigned to a Temporary Duty Station

This case involved management assigning rural carriers on limited duty to work in a different office without mileage reimbursement. The parties agree when rural carriers are required to travel to a temporary duty station within a 50-mile radius of their permanent duty station, the carriers are entitled to mileage reimbursement that exceeds the distance between their home and their permanent duty station.
