One day during the Christmas rush, I pulled up to a mailbox and inside were the most delicious looking Chocolate covered Almonds. I am a Chocolate freak so I was sooo excited.
Opened that bag and starting shoving them down my mouth. They were soo good. After I had eaten almost the whole bag, I looked down and saw the tag on the bag.
To my utter surprise, it had a name on it. It was the name of the customer whose box I got it from. OMG, I had eaten this customer’s gift of Chocolate almonds!!
There were about 10 almonds left so I rushed back to the customer’s mailbox and put them back.
To this day, I still wonder what that customer thought when they got a bag of 10 Chocolate Almonds. LOL.

So you stole from a customer and you think it’s an LOL moment?
So a mail carrier clearly stated that he/she mistakenly took an item left in a mailbox thinking it was holiday treat for them and your response is to call them a thief on a public message board? Will your next move include grabbing your Barney Fife detective kit and investigate the case so you can get this person arrested, have a trial and sentence them to a prison term? What you should really do is apologize to them and maybe they won’t file a lawsuit against you for defamation!
If it’s in sideways, just tug on the string and it will straighten itself out. Then you will be less cranky.
Based on your comment you seem to have first hand knowledge of how to relieve crankiness but regardless of your infantile comment the fact that you can never run away from is that you made a defamatory comment about someone you know nothing about!
I know from the carrier’s account that they did in fact steal from the customer. They initially made a mistake. However, as they did not replace what they ate, or at least knocked on the door and apologized, they are guilty of theft. Facts are not defamatory.
Are you really that petty that you would make a big deal over someone eating someone else’s candy? Let me guess, last halloween when you were out in your Barney Fife costume trick or treating a bully took your candy and it’s now your mission to never let it happen to anyone ever again.
