The USPS is temporarily suspending mail to three countries beginning June 20, 2025: Israel, Iraq, and Iran. The Postal Service said it places such suspensions in cases “where the foreign postal operator has indicated that they are unable to process or deliver international mail or services originating from the United States.”
International Mail Service Suspensions
The Postal Service™ receives notices that various postal operators are no longer able to process or deliver international mail or services originating from the United States (U.S.) due to impacts related to the COVID-19 pandemic and other unrelated service disruptions.
As a result, the Postal Service is currently unable to accept items destined for affected countries at any Post Office® or postal facility location. List updated June 18, 2025 and effective until further notice.
Customers are asked to refrain from entering items addressed to any of the below countries into the USPS system effective immediately.
