Rural carrier makes right call for customer

Rickey Pottle, a rural carrier from Gardiner, ME, was recently making deliveries in nearby Farmingdale when he grew concerned about a customer whose mail was piling up unusually.

Pottle alerted the local Post Office, and authorities were asked to check on the man.

Emergency responders discovered that the customer had been stranded for several days after falling.

“Rickey’s attention played a huge role in saving this man’s life,” said Customer Services Supervisor Daniel Peters.
