Rural carrier pulls injured driver from vehicle

Rural Carrier Associate Melinda Jackson-Bunch was recently making deliveries in Battle Creek, MI, when she witnessed a two-car accident that sent one of the vehicles crashing into a tree.

Jackson-Bunch immediately stopped to call 911 and assist the injured driver, whose ankles were broken.

She safely pulled the man from the smoking car and comforted him until emergency responders arrived.

The Postal Service employee also called the victim’s wife to inform her of the emergency.
